Wavelength services are the backbone of the global telecommunications system, providing high-speed, dedicated bandwidth for businesses across the world. At GCX, we operate the world’s largest private subsea network with end-to-end connectivity up to 400G, offering a variety of routing options to meet the increasing demand for bandwidth.
Our Wavelength Services are built on our own privately-owned subsea network, stretching from New York to Tokyo via the Atlantic, Europe, the Middle East, India, and South East Asia. Our network includes several subsea cables, including FA-1, HAWK, FALCON, FEA, and FNAL, providing our clients with a diverse range of routing options.
Our network offers Wavelength services up to 400Gbps, making it the network of choice for Telcos, OTTs, data center operators, and enterprises looking for high-capacity dedicated connectivity within the Mediterranean, Middle East, Asia, or across the Atlantic. And because our network is privately-owned, upgrades and bespoke routes can be handled swiftly and efficiently.
Our network has been transformed to connect the world’s digital ecosystems at speeds of up to 400Gbps (and beyond). By interconnecting to key locations across our next-generation global network, we have ensured that we are in all the locations our clients need us to be in, offering reliable, high-capacity, end-to-end connectivity.
Our network provides connectivity from APAC to EMEA to NA, all via our own privately-owned network.
Our private network covers key global routes, and we also offer route redundancy and access to alternative major cities through relationships with other carriers and cable systems. Through this, we can offer fully diverse connectivity solutions directly to where our clients’ customers are located.
We offer a wide range of Wavelength services, including options for 10, 100, and 400 Gbit/s bandwidths, as well as IPLC for legacy channelized SDH bandwidths. Our services include layer 1 transmission, optional hardware-based encryption, GCX PoP to GCX PoP, and local tails.
We also offer a wide range of interfaces, including Ethernet, OTN, and SDH, and protection options, including unprotected, protected, and segment-specific protection. Our service level agreements include service availability of 99.5% (unprotected services) or 99.99% (protected services) and service delivery within 20 working days (standard) or 5 to 7 (premium fast-tracked).
At GCX, we offer a wide range of contract terms, ranging from 12 months to long-term right of use, to meet our clients’ needs. We also offer billing in a variety of currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR, SGD, and JPY, making it easy for our clients to manage their accounts and pay for our services.
Our focus on flexible commercial features is just one more way we aim to provide our clients with the best possible experience when working with us. We believe that by offering a wide range of options, we can help our clients achieve their goals and succeed in today’s competitive business landscape.
Our global network has been designed and engineered to withstand disruption and to ensure the highest levels of service availability and continuity. We offer optional protection, either end-to-end or on key segments, and provide secure hardware-based encrypted waves using AES-256-GCM where required.
Using the latest DWDM transponders, equipment redundancy, dual landings, double-armored casing, and buried cable where necessary, our network provides some of the highest levels of service availability in the industry.
We have operational control of every network element, meaning we can prioritize restoration or provide alternative paths quickly and efficiently, reducing the impact on our clients’ customers and applications.
